Grand Hotel Excelsior, Amalfi

I felt like I was transported back to the 1930s with the perfect room featuring a large balcony and a claw foot bath that added to the enjoyment of our stay. The sea view from the room was unbeatable, making it very spacious and overlooking the sea, truly spectacular. However, walking was not an option for me due to its high location above Amalfi, although the efficient shuttle service down to Amalfi Town was a great perk.

The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with a small balcony but lacks some usual amenities. The service is friendly, although the staff attire could be more comfortable. Located high above Amalfi, it provides breathtaking views but is far from main attractions. The dining experience is pleasant with a good buffet selection. Price is reasonable for the value provided.

I was truly touched by the incredible sea view from the room's patio, watching the sunrise and sunset. The hotel's location on the Amalfi coast is breathtaking, but those with vertigo should be cautious. The service was excellent, although the misinformation about Capri was a downside.
